About Us

Olive Tree Growers is an independent nursery dedicated to the production and marketing of premium quality olive trees. Established in 2005 by professional gardeners Jean and Cary Cloud, OTG offers container-grown olive trees from one-gallon to large specimen sizes. The Clouds are also developing a grove for the production of olive oil.

The farm, located in Marion County, Florida, near Dunnellon, is open to the public by appointment. To arrange for shopping at the farm, please contact us!.

The Clouds have been growing olive trees in Florida since 1989, and find that, contrary to popular assumption, this most special tree can be grown quite easily in the Southeast, and in containers where winters are too harsh.

Their first olive tree was planted on St. George Island in the Florida Panhandle, just 200 yards from the Gulf of Mexico. Since 2005, they have planted about 50 olive trees of several cultivars on another beachfront site nearby. All of these trees are thriving and many are producing fruit.
